TNAI is the largest and the oldest professional Association of Nurses in India since 1908, with nearly 3,00,000 members including all the categories of nurses viz, Clinical Nurse, Nurses Administrators, Nurses educators and Nurses Researchers from both public and private sectors run institutions. TNAI is a non-profit, non-sectoral non- political and non-religious organization and working solely for the benefit and advancement of nurses.
TNAI is having network with more than 1100 nursing institutions and it has 1,50000 as Student Nurses as members. TNAI is having 34 branches across the country. TNAI is well connected with National as well as the state licensing body of nurses in the country.
Central Institute of Nursing Research:
With an eye on the future The Trained Nurses Association of India established the Central Institute of Nursing & Research Centre in Greater Noida spread out in two acres of land. It was inaugurated by then Hon’ble Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India on 2nd July 2012.
Objectives:
To take the quality of nurses and nursing skills to ever-higher standards with far reaching impact on overall health care available to all in the country.
Central Institute of Nursing comprises two Simulation Lab:
- National Skill Lab (DAKSH)
- International Training Centre approved by American Heart Association
National Skill Lab (Daksh):
In 2015, A National Skill Lab (DAKSH) has been established for in-services & Pre service skill development of Nurses with the help of Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
National Skill lab provides the opportunity for improving the quality of Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child Health and Adolescent (RMNCH+A) services. Aims to reduce the maternal and infant mortality rate.
TNAI’s International Training Centre
The TNAI’s International Training Centre approved by American Heart Association (AHA) was inaugurated on 14th April, 2018 to provide various critical care courses.
Courses offered at International Training Centre:-
- Basic Life Support (BLS) provider course
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider course
