TNAI Organizing BLS (Basic Life Support) Course on June 14 & 25, 2019 (AHA Approved) at TNAI Headquarters, L-17, Florence nightingale Lane, Green Park Main, New Delhi
Basic Life Support (BLS) provider course:
BLS is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. The BLS instructor-led course teaches both single rescuer and team basic life support skills with a focus on high quality CPR.
BLS Course Objectives:
- Describe the importance of high-quality CPR
- Describe and apply all the steps of chain of survival
- Recognize the signs of someone needing CPR.
- Perform high quality CPR for an adult, child and infant.
- Use of AED
- Provide effective ventilation by using a barrier device.
- Describe the techniques for relief of foreign body obstruction for adult, child and infant.
Course requirements:
- Registration and payment to be done 3 week prior to the course.
- Candidate can receive the provider manual from TNAI Headquarters of Central Institute of Nursing.
- Every participant should have a valid email id on the day of the course for online registration.
- BLS Provider Cards will be issued to the candidate who have successfully completed the theory and skills test with the score of 84%.
Elements of Basic Life Support provider course:
- Duration of Training – 1 day
- Batch Strength – 30 participants
- Training Methodology – It is a video assisted course which will be taught by using mannequins, training videos and case scenarios
- Method of evaluation – Pre-test, Post-test and practical exam.
